Velocity Church's in-person campus is located in Yorktown, VA. We are a church serving York County, Newport News, Hampton, and surrounding communities.

Joining Velocity Church online? Join from anywhere. Your living room, your car, your grandma's house. No matter where you are, you can participate in Velocity Church.

KIDS

Have kids? No worries, we've got you covered. Velocity Church offers programs for kids who are infants through 5th grade.

 If you attend in person, our friendly greeters will show you where our Kids Check-In is when you arrive. We will meet your family, check your child in, and answer any questions you may have. We can't wait to meet you!

 If you attend online, you'll find that Velocity Church services are family friendly. The messages are inspirational, practical, and challenging.

Where are you located?

You will enjoy our newly renovated facility, which is in the heart of York County on Route 17 (one mile north of the Victory Walmart). We created a spacious sanctuary, wide hallways, an open welcome center, a warm nursery, and a safe area for our kids. It looks, smells, and feels brand new because it is brand new. What time is service?

Services at Velocity Church are on Sundays at 10:30am. The time is the same whether you choose to join us online or in-person! Our online services are streamed live on Facebook - you'll be able to engage wherever you're joining from.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. Wear shorts, jeans, and a t-shirt. As long as you are actually wearing clothes, you will fit right in.

Where do I park?

There are over 100 parking spaces located near our main entrance. Various signs will show you where to park. After you park, simply look for our greeters and a the large blue 'entrance' sign above the main doors.

Is there something for my kids?

Yes! Kids are one of our highest priorities at Velocity Church. At Velocity Church, we focus on raising up the next generation of leaders who will change the world for the Kingdom. During service, kids can participate in classes in-person. Learn more below.

What is a worship experience like?

You will notice our service has an authentic and down-to-earth feel. A typical service lasts about 75 minutes. You will experience about 20 minutes of contemporary worship followed by a powerful, biblically-sound, and relatable message.

Will I have to say anything?

You will not be put on the spot, wear a name badge, and/or expected to give in the offering. A ‘connect card’ will be available on your seat. When you feel comfortable doing so, simply answer a few short questions. If you prefer texting, text 757-378-0337 keyword 'Home'. We will send you a free Starbucks card for doing so.

Are there handicapped restrooms available?

If needed, there are clean handicapped accessible restrooms available. The restrooms are clearly marked in the main hallway.

Can I join a community group?

Yes. Throughout the year we have various community groups available on various topics. You are welcome to join a group at any time. If you are interested in hosting a group, simply let us know you are interested by emailing us.

What is my next step?

We encourage everyone to take the next step by signing up for our Next Class. During Next, you will learn how to grow deeper spiritually, learn your unique God-given spiritual gifts, finds ways to serve, and become a member.
